I've been getting alot of messages in regards to the progress of the story. So it's just a little update to let everyone know that it is still in progress, and I'm aiming to have it completed and available to buy by the end of this year/early next year. Thanks for your constant support on the project, everyone!

frankie*SNATCH follows the story of Ha-neul, a nineteen year old music student from the States, travelling to Korea to enrol at a prestigious Performing Arts academy whilst his parents work in the city. Plucked from a comfortable, established existence in Los Angeles, Ha-neul finds it difficult to adjust.
Homesickness and culture-shock proves a challenge for him to settle, until he crosses paths with an ex-student, Bon-hwa. With help from him, he eventually finds his feet.

Ha-neul takes an unusual interest in such an amiable, yet troubled character, and becomes engrossed with the double life Bon-hwa leads. However, with the inclusion of Kim, an associate of Bon-hwa’s, their new, yet steadfast friendship may already be put under strain.

With the less desirable aspects of Bon-hwa’s life constantly resurfacing, and with the addition of Kim’s negative, unavoidable effect he has on Bon-hwa, can Ha-neul dismiss all these problems to keep their bond strengthening? Or will he give in under the pressure and abandon his newfound companion?

Born and bred in the United States. Despite having a Korean father, Ha neul had a typical western upbringing. He was always a popular kid growing up, and a talented one at that. Music was Ha neuls chosen speciality, and became a very skilled violinist and pianist from a particularly young age.

Ha neul is your typical boy next door. Incredibly positive and with a light-hearted temperament. He will try to make light of any situation, no matter how bad it may seem. Flawlessly cool, but disguises a bit of an inner goofball. At times he can be quite naïve, and if he is confronted with a problem he isn't comfortable with, he will choose to ignore it, rather than address it. Despite this, very few can find fault in such a charming young guy.

Name : Bon-hwa Seong ( 성본화 )
Age : 22
Height : 5'3"
Ethnicity : Korean

Bon-hwa was born into a strict Catholic community in Gwangju, and it was highly expected of him to follow this disciplined lifestyle. He was always very quiet and well behaved, but growing up, it became apparent that his interests lay in other areas other than religion. The following years proved Bon-hwa to be a dishonorable burden on his family, and was eventually sent away to Seoul.

Bon-hwa is a shadow of his former cheerful, good-natured self. The events that unfolded at home permenantly tarnished his self-confidence, and he finds each day a struggle. Severe depression and self-loathing cloud his true personality. He still remains very reserved, and avoids socialising whenever possible. However, despite an array of problems, the people who do know him well can clarify that underneath his joyless exterior remains a truly caring and thoughtful person.

Name : "Kim" Jin Wu ( 吳金 )
Age : 20
Height : 6'1"
Ethnicity : Chinese

Born in Shanghai, but moved to Korea shortly after his birth. Kim's parents divorced when he was very young, and was raised by his mother who chose to stay in Korea with Kim, whilst his father returned to Shanghai. He was particularly spoiled during his childhood, and rarely went without luxuries he demanded. Kim was encouraged by his mother to move to Seoul to attend the performing arts academy.

Kim has a natural air of self-admiration and egocentricity. His God complex holds him above any of his friends or assosiates. Sociable and talkative, but very arrogant. He has a tendancy to manipulate lesser people to get his own way. Kim is not easily angered, but is known to have a violent streak.

Name : Hitomi
A 19 year old Japanese music student. She befriends Ha neul when he first arrives at the academy, and introduces him to English-speaking people around the campus. Authoritative and mature for her age, but very friendly and approachable.

Names : Park & Mai
Friends of Kim's. Both Park & Mai are incredibly narcissistic. Mai's relationship with Kim appears to be based on nothing other than sex. She is a well known socialite, with seedy links to several other popular male students. Park is antisocial and cold to everyone other than Kim.

Name : Grace
Ha neul's girlfriend. A sweet blonde girl from Washington, whom he had been dating 18 months prior to his leave to Seoul. They had developed a solid relationship, which is now under long distance strain. They both stay in contact, but Ha neul is finding his feelings for Grace to be wavering.

What format will the story be in?
Firstly, frankie*SNATCH will NOT be a manga/graphic novel. The story will be written, but I intend on including full page colour illustrations.

When will the book be available to buy?
Because of other commitments I can't progress very fast on frankie*SNATCH, so don't worry about not having enough money to afford it right now, as it won't be released for at least another 12 months.

How much will it cost?
I cannot give an accurate estimate as to the price of the final book until it is complete and I find out printing costs.

What countries will it be available in?
Lulu.com is the publisher and they ship to pretty much all countries. Shipping costs will vary.

What kind of content will the story have?
There will be a number of yaoi (boy x boy) scenes, as well as general adult content, so it is recommended that anyone under 18 take caution when buying.
