The deadline has now been passed for entries to the competition! I've recieved over 180 entries, which is far more than I'd ever anticipated to recieve! Thank you so much for all your creative input into these two characters! It's going to be a BITCH to choose winners.
Even though the submission time exceeded a month, I've had a number of people noting me to ask for an extension. I will be announcing winners to the competition a week from now, on the 5th March. If you have an entry in the works but didn't manage to complete it for the 27th Feb, you can use this week as an extension to the original deadline. Please note though that I'm actually choosing winners during this time, so the later you submit your entry, the worse it'll be, as I will have probably narrowed my selection down to a few.
Anyway, thanks again guys for all your incredible entries, you're all insanely creative n____n. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, 5th Feb, so check back to see who's designs have made it!

• I N F O R M A T I O N
Here's your chance to add your own piece of creativity to frankie*SNATCH. You will be given the opportunity to design concepts for Park and Mai, friends of Kim. While the characters have minor roles in the story, both play an important role in Kims image as a significant figure in the student society, adding to frankie*SNATCH in their own important way. Both characters are somewhat self-worshipping.

Name: Mai
Gender: Female
Age: 19-20
Ethnicity: Asian
Tips: Mai is somewhat of a socialite - a magnet for male students. She loves pin ups from the 1950's, and opts for a glamorous style to suit her voluptuous figure.

Name: Park
Gender: Male
Age: 18-20
Ethnicity: Asian
Tips: Park opts for sharp cut outfits and simple, mainly dark colours, occasionally with a punk/visual influence.

Remember that their image reflects on Kims image. If they look bad, it makes Kim look bad. And Kim doesn't want to look bad! Park and Mai follow Kim pretty much everywhere.

• T I P S

I. Artwork doesn't have to be neat, sketches are fine.
II. Artwork can be either digital or traditional, I don't favour one over the other.
III. Colour is highly preferred. As I've said to some, colour can make or break a design. Even if it's flat colour, or a colour key next to drawings, it is better than nothing.
IV. Just one drawing of the character is fine, it is your choice if you wish to provide close-ups/different angles.
V. You are designing the character themselves, not just their outfit! Whilst a rough personality and clothing preference has been given to them, they have no set physical appearance. Showing attention to facial features and physique will work in a positive favour for you!
VI. You have complete freedom over how these characters look. You can give them tattoos, piercings, crazy hair if you wish. Though remember these are minor characters and if they are overdressed, they will upstage the main characters... we're not wanting that XD.
VII. Keep things realistic - both Mai and Park are dance students. Style can still be achieved through underdressing, so don't feel that a tee and pants is a rubbish design. It's how they're worn which counts n_~

• H O W - T O - E N T E R
If you decide to design concepts for both Park and Mai, please be aware that only one design can win per participant. So, whilst both designs will be counted into the competition, only one of your designs may win. There will be individual winners for each character design.

I. Please submit your final piece to dA, and send me a note with a link to your deviation.

II. The unconfirmed deadline for the competition is February 27th. The deadline may extent if people require it.

Please note, that I may alter or change aspects of winning designs in order to fit with exsisting character designs.

• P R I Z E S
The winning, finalised designs will be featured in artwork within the frankie*SNATCH book. The two winners may also choose a free dA print from my gallery, and the option of having a print of their finalised design.

• J U D G I N G
I will be juding entries based on the originality and careful design of the character. Don't feel that your entry will be less likely to win because it's not as well drawn as others.

• P L E A S E R E A D
I have the right to alter winning designs to suit the story settings and exsisting characters. I also have the right to publish artwork of the finalised character design in the book.

When you say park, and sharp cut outfits, so you mean to say that he is stylish and wears suits and such, or can I go for a more edgy, street style kind of look? Also do you have a summary/explanatory paragraph about the story so I can have an idea about their world/attitudes?
